Toggle Recoil Chiropractic Adjustment
By admin | March 20, 2007
Here’s a brief clip of a superquick toggle recoil chiropractic adjustment. The clip was filmed with a Sony VX 1000 and was shot at a Dynamic Essentials chiropractic philosophy conference back in the late 1990s or early 2000. There is some background noise and it looks like the adjustment was made in the vendor area of the conference center. Video found on Google and created by planet chiropractic (but could not locate the video on that web site).
Watching the video, it looks like the procedure could hurt, but it’s actually super gentle. If you watch closely you’ll notice the head piece of the table drops away and the chiropractor making the adjustment falls forward into the direction of the thrust. Cool stuff!

You don’t see toggle recoils like this done much more, at least here on the West Coast. It’s a serious art and skill. Those chiropractors that have mastered the technique give great adjustments. It looks like it would be a bone cruncher but it’s actually a gentle and painless move, thanks in part to the spring loaded drop piece.
